The Reason For This Blog

So many individuals, groups and wedding parties over the years have shared with us their warm and generous thoughts about the band, and I thought it would be nice to have a place, attached to our band web-site, where people can share those thoughts with others as well. Please click "comments" and write away, or you can start a whole brand new post. We're looking forward to hearing from you! And if you're a wedding couple from way back, tell us how it's going--career, kids, fond memories of your night with the Alessi Band!

Hey Al.  You guys were terrific at the harbor yesterday, as usual.  When you sing At Last, it's so beautiful it makes me ache.  This message is for your sax player.  We were discussing Phish, as we both had kids at the show up in Coventry, and he asked about their music.  I told him to give them a try.  We never finished the conversation, as he had to go flying back to begin the last set (sorry!).  Anyway, if he can borrow these 2 albums, Junta and Picture of Nectar, they would be good starters.  Both of them are pretty old, as am I.  They don't have the substance or the soul of your band's music, but they're fun nonetheless.  Enjoy what's left of this summer.  Your faithful fan, Anne Swanson

Good afternoon,

Just writing to thank you for the fantastic performance this past Sunday at Lake Sunapee Harbor. I must say that the night before I paid lots of money to see Tony Bennett at Meadowbrook. He was excellent but could not hold a candle to you!

I am ready to be a Alessi Band groupie. I have looked at your performance schedule. Is the upcoming event at JOSA (?) open to the public? Also, the CHAD benefit, I am sure it will be terrific.

Thank you again for such a wonderful afternoon of music and fun!

Al Alessi and his band are terrific. They are very talented musicians; Al has a terrific voice, even as his hair grays; he knows how to work a crowd; plays EVERY genre of music and will make any function a success just by being there. They're professional, entertaining, high quality music and, although a bit liberal in their politics, they are truly GREAT guys.

High praises for Al Alessi and his band! I have been a fan for many, many years. Whether Al plays solo or with his band, it is always great music and a lot of entertainment. Al played at my wedding in March of 2001. It was Al and one other guitar player. They rocked the house like they were a 4 piece band! Everyone danced and had a ball. Thanks for the memories Al!

Hi Al Alessi Band, I keep looking for my favorite song, Love is having no fear, and having no fear is love! I heard you in the 80's at Indian Head in New Hampshire. I listened to the tape for over 25 years! I had Starry night,Unchained Melody, and others. Is there a way I can purchase it on CD or through the web? I couldn't find a website. Christie Fredette
